OHMYGOSHNESS!!!!!

I have a formal dress.

And it's Pretty... :) (think that great line from Devil Wears Prada when you read that)

Anyways, it's a strapless (well, it has straps that you can clip on) shot taffetta dress, with rouching down to the hips (but it finishes on a slant, so it finishes a bit above one hip and on top of the other). It's deep blue, floor length, sort of sweetheart neckline, with a scoop skirt...

basically it's beautiful and everything i was looking for, and it was half price as well so my parents will pay for new jewellery and a clutch and maybe even some heels... which is super exciting (and entirely not expected)

And just to top it all off, the dress ended up being less then my brother's suit (or even hiring my brother's suit) so mum is super excited... and because it was so cheap, even though it doesn't fit perfectly at the hips (yet), if it has to go to an alterations lady mum will pay for it... which is good, cus i'm so short it definitely has to be hemmed (I can't walk in it yet), and it's not a straight hem so i'll have to get someone to hem it anyway.
