I'm off to camp in about 10 minutes, so this is just to let you guys know that i'm not going to update this or my other blog till good friday... and i apologise if i miss it then, i don't know how busy i'll be with family etc then.

Well That was Awkward!

So, today has been full of awkwardness.

We filmed for my friends music video (for film in school) where she had accidentally cast me and my twin brother to have a "meaningful" look and hug. By accident. And she seriously didn't figure that out until we filmed... yup, likely. Not.

My bestie (also a twin) had her birthday dinner, but she and her brother had to invite someone of the opposite sex. Her brother invited me. Again... awkard!

I accidentally walked into my parents Bible study when i came back from said dinner. Loudly. After laughing with my friend down the driveway. Cus we're mature... totally...

So answer me, why was today awkward?

Study is DONE!

I have my final maths exam today, and then i'm done :)

To celebrate this happy event, one of my friends for her film class is getting about 20 of us together, dressed as stereotypes (i'm a depressed teen), to have a "party" (on the school oval) for her music video assignment... she's doing it to Kids by MGMT (hopefully her film clip is less freaky then that one. The guy with face paint? not natural...).

And while i fully support the idea of her film clip, as repayment for staying on after our final exam she's providing us with REAL soda and candy. Let's see if you've found the problem yet... So, I'm supposed to be depressed looking. And they're giving me sugar. Think about it... (check out the title of the blog)... got it yet?? Yup.

Sugar + depressed DON'T mix.

And i'm rubbish at acting, so lets see how this one goes...

After that, mum's very kindly giving me and some friends a lift to the mall, to by final stuff for camp :) so essentials like playing cards, candy watched, chocolate, candy...

And then i get to go to my best friend's birthday dinner!

So overall today is awesome because of everything :)

Dress Like a 3 Year Old

I just realised how long it's been since i've actually posted a "how to" blog, mainly i've been posting "lists of awesomeness" recently... So i'm rectifying that mistake :)

For school camp this year we have a themed dress up night, this year with a 90s theme - dress in 90s fashion/90s celebrity/90s children show/as you were in the 90s... so, being the entirely mature gal i am, i convinced my friends to dress up like 3 year olds with me.

Now, as anyone who has met me and my friends (or even heard of us) should know, we're really not mature at all. Teachers pets, yes, but mature?... not so much. Thankfully, this means we don't have to have any acting skills to become three year olds. However, we need costumes. So here it is (i'll post a pic after the event, ok??)

Shoes - black flats (because none of us have little kiddy shoes) and white socks with lace on them (we actually have to sew the lace onto our socks, but we think it's worth it)

Skirts - swishy, little-kid-esque skirts that vaguely (ie in no way at all) match...

Shirts - we've each bought a plain top and are using those iron on transfers to put a graphic on them... so like i've made one with a dinosaur (and glitter writing proclaiming this) or my friends got an elmo one...)

Hair - pigtails with not-matching-ribbons and ringlets. Cus little kids have ringlets. But messy ones, cus what little kid has neat hair?? none, i assure you.

Make-up  - lipstick mainly off the lips (bright pink), bright blue eyeshadow (again, fully into eyebrows), lipstick blush... pretty much, we're doing the whole shebang (don't you love that word??)

Accessories  - candy bracelet, icky beads, stick on earrings, those tacky adjustable rings...

Additions - a toy (my friends has a tickle me elmo. SO jealous!), and a dress up item (i have a princess crown and some fairy wings)

Suggestions?? seriously appreciated, please comment!!

ok, not really. But i've always loved saying that.

This is just a deviation from my normal blogging habits to tell you all that I've started a second blog, in which i am allowed to be pessimistic and share with you all the woes of my daily life (rather then the positive/funny things that happen/random things in my head, that this one is).

Coolest Subjects Around

Heya all :)

I was listening to Hamish and Andy this morning, and one of the listeners who rang in was talking about her "natural disasters" class. That she takes in high school. Yup.

Needless to say i was extremely jealous, so i thought i'd come up with a few awesome subjects of my own, to be taught at my chocolate appreciation academy (now taking enrollments for semester 2 2010).

Oreos 101 - here you learn the 5 true ways to enjoy an oreo, discover how they were invented and discuss why they play such an important part in society today. Assessments include a demonstration of a new way to use Oreos in cooking

Literature Appreciation - in this subject students are encouraged to read at least 1 book every term. Books are chosen by the student, without the need for teacher's approval. A 20 minute examination that requiring students to give a brief overview of the book provides the student's mark.

Facebook for Dummies - for those just beginning their facebook journey, this course explains such things as the Wall, Facebook Chat and naming albums. Each student provides a facebook profile to be assessed at the end of the semester.

Tim Tams are Awesome

I'm not actually sure these are sold anywhere other then Australia, so the picture (in case you were entirely oblivious) is of a packet of Tim Tams... basically, you get two rectangular chocolate biscuits (they're quite thick, about 1cm) and stuff chocolate topping in between them, and coat it all with chocolate. Anyway, we were enjoying a packet of Tim Tams as a study snack the other day and my friends were horrified to learn that i know how many Tim Tams there are in a packet (all flavours except caramel or double coated there's 11, caramel and double coated there's 9). Due to this, i thought i'd publicly air some of the random chocolate/lolly trivia i know.

1) there is 96 individual pieces of chocolate in a family sized cadbury block of chocolate. With the exception of the "breakaway" flavour (there's only 48 pieces in that), the all varieties of Cadbury chocoalte in the family variety consist of 12 rows, each with 4 pieces of chocolate.


2) Natural Confectionery Company, Schweppes, Chuppa Chups and Cadbury are all owned by the same company. Which is possibly not odd, seeing as they're all aimed at different markets, but interesting none the less.

3) Reese's Peanut Butter Cups were first sold in the 1920s. As opposed to Hershey's (which obviously bought Reece out at a later stage) which was founded in the 1890s. Also, Hershey's Park was originally only for employees... because what they really needed was another incentive to go work for the best company in the world (not).
