Randomness :)

So i'm back again (aren't I good??) and I promise to regularly blog again... really...

Anyways, i've finally finished exams and my senior year is officially 1/2 over!!! Which is sad and happy, but extremely exciting.

In other news, i've begun formal dress shopping, so fingers crossed i'll have one by the weekend and post you guys a pic :)

Back to the blogging thing

So, I was playing around on youtube (as you do) and started getting all nostalgic about some ads that used to be on down here... These ads have become legendary down under, with their phrases quoted daily.

During the time of Emperor Nasi Goreng... Too many rabbits in China. This ad is from the then government owned telephone company in Australia. One of the most quoted ads in Australia...

Charter boat, what charter boat? Only shown in Queensland, one of a series of ads from RACQ, our state's main insurance company. And sorry about the quality, it's the only version on youtube.

Not happy, Jan! Useful when annoyed at anyone or anything (and used far too much as newspaper headlines), it's an ad for the Australian version of the yellow pages.

And only 2% fat. Not the part of the ad we were actually supposed to remember, but the line that's stuck anyway. Pauls is the main milk company over here.

Twinnified...

Randomness ensues...

Not really.

Anyways.

I was thinking the other day, and realised I'm unique in many, many ways. One of these ways is the fact that I have THREE different twins! I have my actual, legitimate, related-by-blood twin. Then I have my real life "twin". And i have my (virtual) "e-twin".

My real twin... Well, he is both great and annoying. He does every subject i do except one, and over half of these we share a teacher for. So if I'm stuck on homework, or not understanding an assignment (or just forgot what the homework was) he can help. Unfortunately, he's also SUPER brainy. I'm smart (sounds like i'm upmyself, but i am relatively intelligent) but he is RIDICULOUSLY smart. As in topped every subject last year. And he's not that patient, so he gets frustrated with me if i don't see things automatically. And he always smiles. I mean always. From the moment he awakes to the moment he rests his head on a pillow, he SMILES. which is just ANNOYING! Trust me on this, people.

My real life "twin"... She is absolutely FABULOUS! One of my best friends (and to Dearest, who is reading this, you're a level about bestie), she is also a "real" twin (ie has a twin brother). Somewhere along the line, we decided we were each other's "real" twin. And then we introduced "twinlepathy" (telepathy between twins)... She and I have conversations where we're both just grunting. And we know what each other is saying. Maybe this happens because we both speak with our mouths full and hang around each other way too much (probably the case), but we like to blame it on twinlepathy.

My e-twin... Rebel is awesome. Check out her blog here. Somehow, in some SparkLife article, we became twins. I don't know who first called whom twin (probably Rebel), and i'm not even sure if it was directed at me (i probably intercepted it, and it was directed at someone else) but somehow we became twins. And have addressed each other as such ever since.

So that's me. Anyone else have any weird relationships??

A Little Too Late

It has come to my attention that it's been NINE DAYS since I've blogged. And I appologise. Profusely. So please forgive me.

In the mean time, I thought i'd go back to my early blogging roots and write a "how to" on a completely unrealistic, but hopefully amusing topic.

Just a clause: this is being typed on an iPod touch, spelling mistakes are likely to occur. It's still learning my typos. However, I must say i'm impressed by it's learning... Predictive now gives me ohmygoshness when I type in ohm.

How To: Stay Dry In The Rain

it's the end of period 3, you're in a classroom the otherside of the oval and t starts to poor. You're trapped: you have to attend your next class, but you can't get wet - your make up would run, your straight hair would curl, and most importantly your pathetically designed school uniform consisting of a white blouse will go see through. How does one reach the other side?? Watch and learn.

1) Grab a large poster, preferably laminated.
Why laminated, you ask? Laminate, my dear friends, is plastic. Plastic repels water. My friend seriously did this today. Sure it may not stop issues with your make up, hair, or getting water in your shoes but it can stop water from touching your blouse. You may look odd with a wet back and dry front, but at least you won't look like a slut.

2) Jumpers make great hats.
While laminate is great for protecting the hideousnes that is your uniform, unfortunately there's not that many posters to go around, requiring a differet solution to protect your delicate hair. Jumpers, hoodies, blazers and jackets are all great forms of protection which do not require you to hold to keep on your head. While it may be more obviius to simply wear said article of clothing, you need multiple layers of cloth to keep the water at bay. It may not be classy, but your hair will be afterwards.

3) Sprint
Sure, you might slip in a puddle, and Sure, you'll be hot and sweaty (and wet and cold) for your next class... but when all else fails, sprint (making sure to jump in all the puddles along the way)

And Now, A Little Night Music

ok, not really. But i've always loved saying that.

This is just a deviation from my normal blogging habits to tell you all that I've started a second blog, in which i am allowed to be pessimistic and share with you all the woes of my daily life (rather then the positive/funny things that happen/random things in my head, that this one is).

Anyways, feel free to check it out (or ignore it, like it deserves): Licorice is Icky (and so is this blog)

With that, i bid thee goodnight (can we tell i watched P&P last night??)
