In which i write

Because i'm a hopeless blogger (but probably more likely because i'm a highschool senior), i haven't blogged for half a month...

And i apologise for this. sincerely.

which i'm fairly certain i could copy and paste to the start of every new blog atm...

So, back to my life :)

I finally got most things sorted for the Formal (yay! no more stress!) so except for actually booking the appointments (which i should do, come to think of it) and the actual day, i think i'm all ready! so thank goodness for that.

In other news, i've finally started getting used to the cold... just in time for the august winds to start, so i'm back to square one and freezing my butt of again. how rude. But hey, i'm like 2 months i'll be toasty warm and camping at the beach. Just can't wait till then...

And sadly excluding schoolwork that kinda sums up my life :( or lack there of... as my mother keeps reminding me, i'm a senior now. Apparently it's normal for seniors to have no lives.

So basically that's it :)

How To...

... Get people to comment on your blog!

1) shamelessly promote commenting

eg: Free e-cookies for everyone who comments!

2) Competitions

eg: Funniest comments competitions, all entries to be posted as comments to this article. I'll post my fave in a week

3) Gather loads of friends with nothing to do

eg: Name blog "Place for Bored Internet Commenters to Hang"

4) Write something on a really controversial topic

eg: My friend just got married, and she's 16... what do you guys think?

5) Actually write something funny

eg: Anything Dan Bergstein writes

Goodness Graciousness!

Howdy all :)

it's been a month (almost... ok, so 3 weeks, but still) and i have yet to write something interesting here. I'm becoming a Bad Blogger. Now this probably has more to do with my stupid assignments then anything else (5 left and counting), and the exams i also have to endure (only 5 left, again) and the whole "I'm a senior i have no life" epidemic spreading through my grade, but still. I miss you guys.

And sadly i have no time to write anything truly interesting or exciting, that has absolutely nothing to do with school...

... but i can write something slightly interesting on a school related topic!

We're studying Pride and Prejudice at the moment (one of my all-time favourite novels/movies/mini-series... yes, i like the keira knightly *sorry about the spelling* movie AS WELL AS the book and mini-series. I see it as a stand alone version of the story... interesting, if not totally true to life) and the assignment is to write an article of a subject of the book. I'm doing the perfect man (aka mr Darcey) and what's more, school has APPROVED THIS! so i have 1000 words with which to gush about mr Darcey, complain about mr Wickham (and the waste of his attractiveness) and compare the two with Benjamin Barry (from How to lose a guy in 10 days). Suffice to say i think it will be the most enjoyable english assignment of my senior year.

And hence, i give you my list of perfect men (and some justifications):

The Doctor (most incarnations... except 7 and 8. They were just weird)
David Tennant (he's SCOTTISH!)
Hugh Jackman (hot)
Wolvereine (hot)
Mr Darcey (hello??? ALL PERFECT MEN ARE BASED ON HIM! and he's hot)
Colonel Fitzwilliam (darcy, but without the pride... and sadly the money)
Ryan Palmer (he's from the coffee series... well, ok the Lauren Holbrook series, but i renamed them. and he is THE PERFECT MAN! if i had to name just one, it would be him)
Booth (hot. and a nice guy. and funny. and awesome. and yeah, i'm waiting for the season finale to come out... thought it came out yesterday my time (but was wrong) and normally it comes out wednesdays in canada (and hence thursdays in aus) but cus it's the finale, it's coming out the same time in canada as in america... so friday night in aus :( poor little me...)
Patrick Dempsey (i admit, i'm superficial)
The guy from The Terminal (can't remember his name. the main character. Cus he's just so nice!)

Who've I missed off this list?? Add your faves in the comments

Hey Howdy Hey :)

Happy Easter everyone :)

Those of you who read my other blog will understand why i'm happy it's finally over. Those of you who don't, please make an exception for this one post so that i don't sound anti-easter-ish... cus i'm not, i love the religious side (hello, i can now go to heaven... what's not to like!) and the commercial part (um, chocolate. need i say more?) but this years has been a bit stuffed up.

Anyway, so the highlight of my life at the moment is that the bus timetables are back onto a weekday schedule (they're on the Sunday schedule for public holidays, which means they only come once every hour or two) so i can get to places again :)

With that, i thought i'd share some fun things to do whilst on a bus

1) Put in your iPod headphones (but don't put your iPod on): most adults don't even need that much encouragement, but it allows you to discreetly eavesdrop on whatever conversation you like. People have interesting ones whilst on public transport, and to be honest if they're stupid enough to say private stuff loudly whilst on a bus, they deserve someone to overhear it.

2) Play People Bingo: only works with two or more people, really, but you can play it by yourself for a sense of achievement. Write up a list of cliched bus users (or people you're likely to see on the sidewalk) and tick them off. Seriously, it becomes hilarious very quickly.

3) Answer the person speaking on the phone: Again, works best if there's two of you. Take turns responding to the annoying person on their cell phone. By playing it with someone else, the conversation becomes sillier and sillier. And if you're lucky, they'll hang up the phone out of annoyance

4) Strike up a conversation with a random: While not always safe, little old ladies are a good bet for speaking back to you. I've had some great conversations trying to explain that i'm not a uni student, and talking about various aspects of my life. And they generally tell funny stories, too.

5) Bluetooth funny photos: Most people (stupidly) leave their bluetooth on full time. Why not make use of this and send a stupid photos (preferably of your friend who's sitting in another row) to everyone? remember to change your bluetooth name though, you don't want people realising it was from you.

Anyone with more ideas? i'm guaranteed to spent at least 30 minutes on a bus today, so all suggestions are appreciated ;)
